Taking a Nap

One day in the middle of June, Gary got up to go to work and lo and behold his back was hurting him really bad. He couldn't stand up straight. He went to the doctor and he said it was a herniated disc in his back. Needless to say, Gary had 2 months off work, trying to get his back to heal. He was in so much pain that he couldn't sleep in the bed and so many nights he would go sleep in the car because he could sleep out there. We finally went out and found him a recliner that he can now sleep in. He has been sleeping in his recliner for the last month or so. Here he is taking a Sunday nap in his "bed". Of course, notice where the remote is.

Today we had our Fast Sunday dinner. Even though it really wasn't Fast Sunday, it was Stake Conference. All of Utah County and Wasatch County had a televised Stake conference. Since we were all done by 12:00 we had our dinner earlier today. It was really nice to get everyone together. It seems like it has been awhile since we had had our dinner, what with family reunions, etc. Lorrie and her family had other commitments, and Ginger and Maddy were in Idaho--we missed them. Everyone just loves having their pictures taken.

This is ZuZu in our back yard

A close up of ZuZu. She is growing up so fast. She is 7 months old now.

Here are some pictures of Jamie as she is coming in from her 13 mile race. Can't believe she can run that far. I would be dead after 1 mile. I know, she has done lots of training but still..... We are really proud of her for doing this. It is something she has worked at all summer long. Way to go Jamie!!

Can you believe she can even smile as she runs by.

I was going through some pictures and found these and thought they would be fun to post.

Gary and I got the pleasure of having Maddy come to our house so we could tend her for awhile. Well, we put her down on the floor so she could play and the next thing we knew she had turned herself around and had her feet up on the entertainment center watching television. We couldn't resist taking these pictures.

We did our last camping hurrah over Labor Day weekend. We went with Scott, Lorrie, Colton and Zach up to Smith and Moorehouse. It was a great, relaxing weekend, and the weather was really nice until Sat. night. It rained and when we got up on Sunday it was overcast and stayed overcast all day long. About the time we were ready to eat dinner it started sprinkling but didn't bring on too much rain at that time. However, it got pretty cold and needless to say we didn't stay outside too long. We went to bed and it started to rain and rained all night long. It rained most of the day Monday. However, it didn't dampen our spirits because we just sat in the trailer and played games. Before we left it did start to snow. It was a really great weekend that we spent with the Dibbles.

I'm listening to "The Great and Terrible and Lorrie is
reading "Breaking Dawn"

Gary picking out a video to watch. All the conveniences
of home.

Colton built us a big fire but the rain put it out

Lorrie is engrossed in her book "Breaking Dawn"

Scott is cooking Dutch oven potatoes and corn. He's a good cook!

See the rain coming off of the awning of the trailer

No, it's not a broken camera, it is snow
